Terra E Mare is an Italian restaurant that's like a lot of other Loop restaurants: full of wandering tourists and business people eating underwhelming food that’s serviceable at best. The squid ink pasta with clams and crab only tastes like salt. The egg yolk raviolo has a nice bite, but is overpowered by sweetness thanks to a large drizzle of apple balsamella. And while a chimichurri-topped short rib with romesco is fine, it's too bland to be memorable. The food here is like a work-in-progress, and the blank walls and light fixtures that look partially assembled make it seem like the space is, too.
