Avondale Tap
Avondale Tap is a fun classic neighborhood bar, with Chicago flags on the walls and an active trivia night on Wednesdays. Their menu is a decent line-up of burgers, sandwiches, and fried things that pair well with their solid draft list. But among the bar food staples is a duck grinder with juicy pulled meat and crispy skin stuffed into a soft French roll. It's fatty and salty, but the chimichurri and garlic aioli on top balance out the richness—a great consolation prize after you forget the name of the world’s tallest building (the Burj Khalifa in Dubai).
