Letena
Letena in Columbia Heights offers some of the best Ethiopian food in DC, quite the feat in a city with the largest Ethiopian community in the country. When you walk in, you’ll be surrounded by warm orange hues, rustic lanterns that fall from the ceiling, and framed art pieces hanging from the walls. The vibe is calm and there's an array of tucked-away seating options and a menu that caters to individual dining, making it a convenient spot to dine solo. The vegetarian sampler here is beautifully plated with vibrant vegetables that’ll have you thanking whatever higher power you believe in for bringing you this far (or, you know, thank yourself). After a few cups of honey wine and an order of the silky tiramisu, you’ll leave feeling buzzed and blessed.
