Foggy Bottom doesn’t have a lot of restaurants, but for some reason, it has a lot of burgers. And in the battle for the best one, BBP’s juicy patties absolutely crush BTS’s bland fingernail crust - sorry, we said it. Go on a weeknight when you don’t feel like cooking, choose from one of the many styles (we vouch for the LA burger’s avocado relish and the brunch burger’s fried egg), and make sure to get it “crunchified” with potato chips, for free. If you typically order your burgers medium rare, you might want to opt for medium as the burgers tend to be more underdone. Once you’re seated, don’t let the wheel of sauces intimidate you: you will try them all; you will only like the ketchup.

Review

Stoney’s in Foggy Bottom has a good patio, a solid happy hour, and plenty of TV’s to watch the game on.

Beefsteak has things like beet burgers on the menu, but also rice bowls for the less health-crazed. Use it for a quick lunch in Foggy Bottom.

The best sandwiches in Foggy Bottom are at Jetties. Expect a long line at lunch, but the Thanksgiving Nobadeer is worth it.
