When someone asks us where to order from for a special occasion, we immediately focus on Beit Rima. We’ve spent many birthdays and celebratory holidays here with a massive spread of muhammara, puffy hand-kneaded bread, and whole crispy branzino. That’s because everything is ideal for sharing, especially with your mom and/or loved ones. Be sure to order extra pita for dipping.

You’re ordering delivery this year for Mother’s Day, so make it count by grabbing a brunch spread from Kantine. The Scandinavian-inspired breakfast and brunch spot serves everything from smørrebrød (open-faced sandwiches), porridges, yogurt bowls, cinnamon knots and other pastries. If you want to have mom try a bit of everything, a customizable 5- or 7-item brunch box with an assortment of cheeses, salads, house-made breads, and smoked fish and meats should do the trick.

If someone randomly showed up on our doorstep with the tuna poke bowl from Liholiho Yacht Club, we’d probably squeal with excitement. Which is to say, ordering here is a great way to show you love someone. The menu, which draws on Chinese, Japanese, Korean, and Hawaiian influences, changes occasionally, but expect to see things like coconut turmeric fried chicken, a breakfast sandwich with house-made spam, or fat rice noodles with bacon and fermented black bean sauce.

You have many great dim sum spots to choose from this Mother’s Day, but one we can’t get enough of is Yank Sing. The Chinese restaurant is a San Francisco institution, so coming here for BBQ pork buns, pork and shrimp siu mai, kurobuta pork dumplings, and turnip cakes is always a good choice. And lucky for you, they’re offering delivery out of their Spear Street location.

There’s no better way to show your endless appreciation for your mother than with an impeccable morning bun and a loaf of bread from one of San Francisco’s baking institutions. Load up your digital basket with pain au chocolat - or four - and be prepared to prove you really love mom by exercising restraint and letting her have the last bite.

Maybe you’re in charge of dessert this Mother’s Day, and everywhere is sold out and no longer taking pre-orders. Don’t panic - Humphry Slocombe is always stocked with ice cream, and they deliver, so you can get pints of matchadoodle or secret breakfast (a bourbon base with cornflake cookies mixed in) sent right to your doorstep.

The Guamanian restaurant in the Mission is home to some of our favorite chicken wings, BBQ plates, and other delicious Chamorro dishes, like a comforting bowl of egg noodles with coconut braised beef. And after any meal at Prubechu, we always start planning the next time we’ll go back. In other words, this place is special, and ordering anything off the delivery menu will make mom feel special, too.

One surefire way to earn someone’s affection: order them a DIY pasta kit from Flour + Water Pasta Shop. The casual spin-off of Flour + Water does sandwiches, provisions, and snacks, and they’ve packaged their incredible handmade pastas into easy-to-follow kits. Order one and enjoy perfectly al dente agnolotti dal plin without having to leave the house.

The Outer Richmond neighborhood restaurant uses fresh ingredients to whip up fresh salads, buttermilk fried chicken, house-made pastas with seasonal greens, and pan-seared fish. You can order all of that for takeout, or you can hone in on the Mother’s Day Supper Menu, a prix fixe meal featuring Dungeness crab cakes, confit chicken legs, and lemon-almond meringue pie.
