We like Stumbling Monk when we’re stuck in a Manny’s and Space Dust rut. They have interesting things on tap, from local beers you don’t see too often to imported Belgian beer you might not see anywhere else in town. It always feels relaxed in here, and they have a couple of board games if you can’t think of any good conversation ideas.
Captain Black’s is a bar in Capitol Hill that you hit when the weather is nice. Post up on the rooftop patio and get the fried chicken.
Hot Cakes is a dessert bar in Capitol Hill specializing in molten chocolate cake and soft serve ice cream.
Kedai Makan is in a new Capitol Hill location after changing ownership. The Malaysian street food is fine, but it doesn't stack up to the original.
