Shingletown Pub is a dive bar, but with string lights, nice people, solid bar snacks, and no sticky floor (unless you spill a pint of beer, and that’s really your fault). Order something cold and interesting on draught and share an order of pretzel-crusted cheese curds. If that didn’t convince you, on Tuesdays, everything is two dollars off. Go wild.
Stoup Brewing is where you go for no-frills beer in Ballard. It’s a casual spot that feels like drinking in your friend’s garage (in a good way).
Red Mill is where you go for a casual burger in Ballard. And onion rings. And milkshakes.
Percy’s is a Southern bar/restaurant in Ballard with a great patio and a lot of bourbon.
Bramling Cross is an excellent gastropub in Ballard where you could take your parents or a date.
