There are opportune times for toasting with mimosas and snapping glamour shots of your French toast with berry compote on a marble table top. But then there are times when you need to eat a greasy spoon breakfast by yourself while you come back to life from a hangover. Planet Java is that place. The black-and-white checkerboard flooring and zebra print barstools are so tacky they’re charming. And the old school chicken fried steak is delicious.
