Itto’s is a small bar in West Seattle that serves good tapas and sangria. On weekends, they open at 2pm, which is ideal if you’d like to start drinking at 2pm. We like that it’s equal parts lively and romantic in here - there’s a front room that’s full of action, as well as a back area where you can share a tiny round table with a candle in the middle and look into each other’s eyes (or into the eyes of the prawn head in the seafood paella, whatever works).

West Seattle Brewing Co.
West Seattle Brewing Company is a waterfront spot on Alki Beach with great beer and not-as-great pizza.
Raccolto is a West Seattle Italian spot from the same people behind Contadino, and the pasta is almost as good. If you can’t get a seat, try the bar.
Il Nido is an upscale Italian restaurant in West Seattle that specializes in homemade pasta and isn’t worth the hype.

It doesn’t get much better than having a Spanish brunch on Terra Plata’s rooftop garden in Capitol Hill. We like it for Monday night paella too.
Herb & Bitter Public House
Herb & Bitter is a classier bar in Northern Cap Hill. The patio is great, and the tapas are good too.
