Fiasco is the Italian restaurant in Wallingford that shares space with Claret Wine Bar. We like that you can order from Fiasco’s menu of pizza, pasta, salads, and sandwiches from both sides of the building, but we just wish that it tasted a little bit better. The spicy fusilli vodka is kind of gummy and lacks heat, the chopped salad is pretty boring, and while the pizza has a nice crust, the toppings (like too-sweet tomatoes and too-loose sausage) feel like afterthoughts. Though, if you’re doing charcuterie and wine or a cocktail, we can’t recommend this place enough.
