Damn The Weather is exactly what it sounds like - an exposed brick and alcohol-filled respite from Seattle’s heinous rain patterns. It’s a bar first and foremost, but with killer food like spaghetti bolognese covered in parm, super-fresh crudo, an excellent burger, and addictive shishito peppers. Which isn’t to say that you can’t also get a cold beer and a paper cone stuffed with French fries - it’s just that they’re cooked in chicken fat and dusted with crushed fennel seed (get these). Damn The Weather is always pretty crowded, but worth doing some vulture-like hovering to get a seat.

Good Bar is a great spot in Pioneer Square for charcuterie and some cocktails. And the happy hour goes until 7pm.

San Fermo is a charming Italian restaurant in an old house where an indie rom-com would take place. Use it for a date in Ballard.
