One of the few places in the city that does weekday brunch, Universal Cafe is a gem. The dinner is upscale American - from steak to pasta to a fish that changes regularly - but daytime is when Universal is at its best. The outdoor tables on a sunny weekend are ideal, partly because you can gloat at all the suckers still waiting in line while you get a tan.
