The fire truck red storefront of this counter-service Potrero Hill restaurant points the way to one of our favorite katsu sandwiches—and more. Formerly a food truck, the permanent outpost of this Japanese spot is where to get everything from ramen and donburi bowls to yakisoba. Like we hinted, the can’t-miss order is the katsu sandwich, which is coated with spicy mayo and highlights a perfectly fried pork or chicken. The sandwich is also served with dressing and cabbage salad you mix together and stuff inside it to add a nice crunch. Make a mental note to get the sandwich next week as another speedy meal. They also have a second location in the Marina with sit-down service, and ordering by phone.
