Pizzeria Avellino
This place is easy to miss - it’s off the beaten path and is very small. But once you’ve found the parking lot full of picnic tables with people eating slices of pizza, you’ll know you’re in the right place. The thin-crust New York style is our favorite, but they have deep dish too if you’re into Chicago things. Avelina has full pizzas and sandwiches too - which are also worth your time - but it’s rare to find a by-the-slice place in the city and so we generally go that route.
