Parada 22
Walking into Parada 22 is more like walking into a living room. Old photographs and a Puerto Rican flag hang overhead, and sauces are presented at the ready in a cabinet. The feel-good energy extends to the generously portioned food, too. We gravitate toward the sampler plate, which showcases five heavy hitters off the menu, and is a great way to try everything without ending up longingly staring at someone else’s chicharrones. The fall-apart pernil asado and snappy tostones are highlights, along with the golden-brown chicharrones de pollo. Slathering the thick salsa rosa on everything is non-negotiable.
