Midnite Bagel
Included In
Midnite Bagel’s fantastic bagels are unapologetically San Franciscan. They’re made with whole grain sourdough, for one, and are denser than most others you’ll find in town. And you should get them in bagel sandwich form, which perfectly complements the range of toppings—think Humboldt Fog or cashew cheese, smoked salmon with crunchy lemony onions, or the combination of plump tomatoes, cucumbers, and basil that tastes like a bountiful garden box exploded in your mouth. And since this city welcomes California-centric takes on bread, grab at least one nutty, slightly sweet buckwheat black sesame bagel. This spot has gone through several iterations over the last few years, from farmers market stalls to a now-closed Inner Sunset cafe. Their current pick-up spot is out of a commissary in the Dogpatch, but you can still find their bagels at local farmers markets and cafes.
