Mauna Loa Club

$$$$

3009 Fillmore St, San Francisco
Earn 3X Points

Despite the name, we’ve never seen anyone order anything but beer and well drinks at Mauna Loa, so don’t walk in expecting tiny umbrellas and tiki cups. There’s a pool table up front and pop-a-shot in the back, along with plenty of sitting/standing options if you just want to make plans for the weekend while drinking cheap cocktails that won’t destroy your bank account. Even when it’s crowded, Mauna Loa is still a good spot to get away from the general madness of Union Street on Friday night without having to go too far. As a heads up, it’s cash only.

Chubby Noodle in the Marina is our go-to in the neighborhood for a good time and even better food. We occasionally dream about the pork tacos.
