Lucinda’s Deli & More

(925) 209-0523

535 Scott St

San Francisco, CA 94117

Lucinda’s is a small deli with excellent sandwiches that are perfect for a quick lunch, or for having at a picnic at nearby Alamo Square Park. Each sandwich is made with a soft, yet crispy roll, and packed with tons of fillings. They have a Baja turkey with avocado, a soppressata with artichoke cream cheese, a classic BLTA and tuna melt, and more. They’re all delicious and well-made. Our favorite right now, however, is the mortadella, which comes with tapenade, bagna cauda mayo, provolone, hot pepper chili relish, and other garnishes. It’s a flavorful, well-balanced masterpiece.

“I could tell you in a heartbeat which sandwich I was obsessing over around my birthday (it was the katsu sandwich from Cafe Okawari), or when I moved into my current apartment in August (Italian American hoagie, Palm City). But my fondest sandwich-associated memory revolves around Lucinda’s Deli & More. I tried it back in mid-October, the peak of SF’s late summer weather. Two of my best friends and I stopped by for lunch on our way home from a beautiful hike at Mount Tam, and grabbed a Baja turkey, a spicy tuna melt, and a hot ham with aged cheddar pimento and garlic confit mayo. We ate them in the sun in Alamo Square, enjoying each other’s company while biting into the crunchy, ridiculously soft rolls, and momentarily forgetting about the horrid state of the world. All this to say, Lucinda’s has a special place in my heart - not only because they’re making absolutely fantastic sandwiches, but because they remind me of one of the sweeter days from the year.” - JC

Lucinda’s is easily one of the best new sandwich spots in the city. Your choices range from soppressata to mortadella to turkey and avocado, all on bread that’s ridiculously soft on the inside and lightly toasted on the outside. There’s also a tuna melt that’s great, too. But the best part about Lucinda’s is it’s right around the corner from Alamo Square Park, which has stellar views of the city. Place an order online.

Lucinda’s is one of the newest sandwich spots in the city, located east of the Golden Gate Park near Alamo Square. Stop here for one of their phenomenal sandwiches - they have a Baja avocado turkey, a soppressata with artichoke cream cheese, a BLTA, and more. The sandwich you should get, though, is the mortadella with tapenade, bagna cauda mayo, and pepper relish - it’s a well-balanced masterpiece.

This new sandwich spot opened in the space that was once home to Alamo Square Deli. They’ve got things like a spicy tuna melt, and a colorful avocado and veggie sandwich. Lucinda’s Deli & More is open every day except Monday, from 11am-5pm. You can place an order online or stop by to order.
