Lers Ros Thai

Longstanding Lers Ros has been operating since 2008, so you can trust that they know a thing or two about churning out excellent Thai curries, noodles, and soups. The menu is long enough to pass for a young adult novel, meaning you could come to this nice-casual place once a week and barely make a dent. Just be sure to zero in on the saucy garlic pork and roasted duck curry, which are standouts on a menu full of hefty-portioned hits. Lers Ros has two other locations in the Mission and Hayes Valley, but we love the quirky charm of the original on Larkin, which is decked out with quotes about home cooking on the walls.

Food Rundown

Garlic Pork

Together, garlic and pork are objectively delicious. But whatever spices Lers Ros is sprinkling onto this glorious combination elevates it to its own flavor league. It’s got the whole salty-sweet thing down pat. Might as well just get two orders.

Grilled Shrimps Salad

Charred, plump shrimp are piled high and drenched in a chili-lime dressing. It’s zingy, it’s refreshing, and it’s a great way to start things off.

Roasted Duck Curry

There are only a few curries on the menu, and this is our favorite. Not only is it a creamy, well-spiced knockout, but there’s also a generous helping of roasted duck to go around.

Beef and Meatball Noodle Soup

Kind of sour and extremely comforting, this noodle soup consistently hits. No one will be mad if you get this on the table.
