Layalina is a new Middle Eastern halal restaurant in Oakland’s Pill Hill neighborhood that makes kebabs, shawarma plates, and desserts like baklava, knafeh, and carrot cake. When indoor dining returns, Layalina will double as a hookah lounge. They’re currently open for takeout, and also have a couple of tables outside for dine-in.
