La Palma is a tortilla and pupusa factory, a lunch counter, a grocery store, and a place to buy lotto tickets, all rolled into one. And while we’re no strangers to purchasing dried chilies or corn husks, the best reason to come here is for tacos. They have a ton of fillings, but the carnitas are our favorite, and the best part about any taco here is the handmade corn tortilla. Also, make sure to grab some chicharrones on the way out.

Bonita Taqueria & Rotisserie
Bonita is a TNT crime drama of a restaurant in the Marina – satisfying, but never quite award-winning.
Garaje in Soma does three things well: beer, sports, and “Mexican” food stuffed with french fries and guacamole.

The seafood and vegetable-focused Mexican food at Cala is some of the best in San Francisco.
Taqueria el Buen Sabor
There are as many taquerias on Valencia as there are anywhere else in the country, and Taqueria El Buen Sabor is one of our favorites.
