Izakaya Sozai
Anytime you want to cap off your day by rapidly inhaling a bowl of tonkotsu ramen, Izakaya Sozai in the Inner Sunset is the answer. In addition to thick noodles in a rich, pork-y broth, this casual Japanese spot has enough small plates to fill a Costco warehouse, from tsukune and bacon mochi to spicy tuna over crispy rice and agedashi tofu. You won’t be mad about a meal here, but nothing on the menu will inspire you to jump out of your seat and deliver a love proclamation. This is a reliable place for last-minute catch-ups or eating at the bar alone over whatever’s playing on the TV.
