Hon’s Wun-Tun House
Included In
Hon’s Wun-Tun House has been a go-to for wonton soup for more than 40 years, and we’re glad they’ve stuck around for so long. It’s a Chinatown spot ideal for a quick lunch and serves generously filled pork and shrimp wontons with stringy noodles and a supremely slurpable broth. There’s a range of meat options, too, but we like the semi-sweet BBQ pork and the fall-apart beef brisket. In case you’re not feeling broth, wontons are also available a la carte (get the Sichuan ones for a bit of that mala kick), or just take some ready-to-cook wontons to go. The crispy scallion pancakes are a great appetizer, if you want to lengthen your meal, but you’re more likely to be in and out of this place in twenty minutes flat.
