Joining the growing list of new sandwiches in SF is Heroic Italian, a sandwich spot originally located in Santa Monica. The Castro location uses bread from Montesacro Pinseria and meats and cheeses imported from Italy to make sandwiches like the “OMG” (five different types of meat, roasted artichokes, giardiniera, and truffle mayo), or the Quadronno (prosciutto, burrata, and roasted tomato). You can pick up a sandwich for lunch or dinner from Thursday to Sunday.
