The chef from General Tso’s Kitchen in the Richmond is now at Chuan Yu, a new Chinese restaurant in Oakland Chinatown’s Pacific Renaissance Plaza. Fans of spice will love their menu, which has lots of traditional Sichuan and Hunan dishes like chongqing chicken and mapo tofu. You can dine on their outdoor patio (they share it with Sakura Bistro), or order for takeout or delivery.
