If you work around Civic Center and really need a break from staring at the same email for the fourth read-over, take a half hour and go to Bi-Rite Cafe right in front of City Hall. This small outpost has a bunch of outdoor seating for when the weather is nice and a menu of things like sandwiches and salads to get you through the rest of the day. We like the barbecue chicken sandwich on a dutch crunch roll, and if it’s been an especially long day, they have soft serve that you can eat while you wait for your lunch.

Sunday at the Museum
Sunday At The Museum is inside the Asian Art Museum, but it's worth a trip on its own.

If you want to take a walk while you’re at Dolores Park, head to Garden Creamery for their funky ice cream flavors.
We’re still on the lookout for a SoMa go-to, near the ballpark. Marlowe is a base hit but not a home run. (Clever, we know.)

Oren’s Hummus in SoMa serves Israeli food and is perfect for a casual business lunch with coworkers and clients.
Lers Ros Thai
While this isn’t the closest Thai food to Union Square, it’s walkable, and it’s by far the best option.
