Thai Tea Mango Croissant
“Picking my favorite pastry from the assorted box I got from this Berkeley bakery would be like asking my parents to pick a favorite child. Which is to say, it sounds like a harsh ask, but is entirely possible. The star of my Bake Sum box was the Thai tea mango croissant (and my parent’s favorite child is my brother). The flaky, buttery croissant was filled with sweet mango jam and Thai tea cream, and topped with almond frangipane - and it was incredible. The box also came with chewy mochi bites, a Vietnamese coffee milk bun, an okonomiyaki danish, an almond cake, and more tasty things. You honestly can’t go wrong with anything Bake Sum puts in their weekly-changing boxes, but if you see the croissant included, order one immediately.”
This Berkeley-based bakery focuses on Asian-inspired pastries, like a Vietnamese coffee milk bun, a Thai tea mango croissant, and an okonomiyaki danish. If you want to get your hands on one of their assorted pastry boxes, you can do so by pre-ordering here for pick up in Berkeley, Redwood City, or SF on Friday or Saturday.
