The sun is shining, Survivor is back, and we finally got around to replacing our broken vacuum. So, things are looking up. And if you’re looking for even more fun plans to get into this week, we have some ideas. From a pop-up with grilled fish sandwiches and wine to a new smashburger concept in North Beach, here are 7 new things to check out (and eat) this week.

Lucy’s Table at Lily

Every fourth Tuesday of the month, Lily (one of our favorite new restaurants) will host communal, family-style dinners spearheaded by co-owner Lucy Lieu. For $80, you get four courses of Vietnamese dishes like crispy rice with caramel chicken, shrimp-stuffed tofu, and more, plus an optional beverage pairing for an additional $36. Reserve your spot for the September 28th edition here.

Pandanmonium

If you need more pandan in your life (who doesn’t?), swing by District Six in SoMa on Sunday, September 26th for “Pandanmonium.” From 12-5pm, the food truck park will host a bunch of food businesses serving every green dessert imaginable, from pandan ice cream sandwiches to puddings and donuts. Snag a ticket here.

Dewey’s Wines at Yo También Cantina

This Friday from 5-8pm, Dewey’s Wines will pop up at Yo También Cantina in the Sunset. Head over to get into Turkish-style grilled fish sandwiches, along with some of Dewey’s single-vineyard wines.

Little Red Window

Little Red Window in North Beach has retooled its menu and will be debuting their new burger and spritz garden tomorrow (September 22nd). The Red Window takeout window previously focused on cocktails and empanadas to go and will soon offer smashburgers, waffle fries, and low-proof cocktails.

Singapore Food Festival Guest Menu at Viridian

Singapore Food Festival continues this week with a pop-up at Viridian. The Oakland bar will host a few Singaporean chefs and mixologists September 22nd-25th, from 5pm-2am. The guest menu will include cocktails like a “Clarified Curry” with butter-wash whisky, clarified chai milk, and curry leaves, plus a special food menu.

Family Cafe Anniversary Party

Editor's note 9/22: the event is currently at capacity.

It’s Family Cafe’s 2nd birthday this week, and to celebrate, the Japanese cafe is having an anniversary party with a sake ceremony, food, and music. RSVP here - the event takes place outside the North Beach spot on Saturday, September 25th, 1-5pm.

Daily Driver Ghirardelli Square

An excellent spot for for wood-fired bagels just opened its third location, this one in Ghirardelli Square (it’s inside of The Cheese School). So reward yourself for reading all the way to the bottom of this guide by stopping by for bagel sandwiches, house-made butter, and coffee - they’re currently open from Thursday to Sunday.
