5 Exciting Things To Do & Eat In San Francisco This Week
It’s Thanksgiving week, a.k.a. the time of year when we get to spend an entire evening explaining our job to relatives (no, it’s not a blog) and fielding questions about our relationship status. Sounds fun and all, but if you need other things to look forward to, we have some ideas, like checking out a new bar in the Mission, a pizza Happy Hour, and more.
Che Fico
One of our favorite Italian spots in the city recently reopened its doors for the first time since March 2020. So take this as a sign that you should head to the NoPa restaurant and dig into a spread of tagliatelle al ragu and a big margherita pizza.
Thanksgiving at Tommy’s Joynt
If you need a last-minute Turkey Day meal, Tommy’s Joynt will be open from 11am-7pm for walk-ups. The Western Addition hofbrau will serve turkey, mashed potatoes, pumpkin pie, and more for you to take to-go or enjoy inside their cafeteria-style space.

Where To Have Thanksgiving Dinner In SF
Buddy
Making plans with friends you haven’t seen since 2019? One new spot you could take them to is Buddy in the Mission. The bar has lots of natural wine, cocktails, and a food menu of things like fried mortadella sandwiches and chocolate brownies with halvah and butterscotch.
Pho to the People
Oakland’s Monster Pho will offer free chicken and beef pho for the community as part of their 2nd annual Pho To The People event. It’s all going down November 24th at their Broadway location, 10am-3pm (or until the soup runs out).
Happy Hour at Joyride Pizza
The new Detroit-style pizza spot just started doing Happy Hour at their Yerba Buena location. Monday to Friday (3-6pm), swing by for half-off cocktails, plus thick pepperoni pizzas and bowls of pesto pasta.
