Outside Lands and Halloween may be over, but if you’ve still got it in you, check out all the new, cool things to do in the city this week. Like head to a new cocktail bar in Russian Hill, or eat a sh*t ton of nachos in SoMa. Here are some other options - go forth.

Lunch at Queen’s

The Korean superette in the Sunset just started offering lunch and indoor dining - so you can now swing by for a midday pick-me-up and settle in with seafood pancakes or omurice. They also have beer, wine, and banchan available all day.

Besharam’s Diwali Feast

In celebration of Diwali, Besharam is offering a special prix-fixe menu ($95) on Thursday, November 4th. Dishes will include pulav, maska paneer, sev puri, and much more. Grab an outdoor ticket or join the waitlist for the already-sold-out indoor seating here.

Bar Iris

One new Russian Hill cocktail spot to check out is Bar Iris, which recently opened next door to the Japanese fine-dining restaurant, Nisei. The sister spot looks just as chic as Nisei, and also has bar snacks like smoked unagi dip and chicken karaage with black curry, along with cocktails, sake, beer, and wine.

First Friday Art Crawl

November 6th is First Friday in North Beach, so consider heading over to check out all of the art galleries, restaurants, bars, and live music in the area. The festivities start at 5pm, and if you need help narrowing down your dinner options, use this guide.

Popoca X Bolita Masa

Next Monday, November 8th, pop-ups Popoca and Bolita Masa will come together at Degrees Plato in Oakland for a special collab from 3-8:30pm. The menu details haven’t been released yet, but keep an eye out on Instagram, and know that it’ll probably involve Popoca’s excellent pupusas.

Nachos Festival at District Six

Unless you keep track of every single food-related national holiday (respect), it’s probably news to you that this Saturday is National Nachos Day. Celebrate by heading to District Six in SoMa from 2-6pm. The food truck park plans to have music, drinks, and plenty of nachos from trucks like Nucha Empanadas and Taqueria San Marcos. Get your ticket here.
