Another week, another roundup of exciting food-related things happening in SF - and this week’s lineup is a fun one. Whether you’re in the mood to play with rescue dogs at a Peruvian restaurant for an afternoon or try out a golf simulator at a new game-friendly bar in SoMa, read on.
Three of Cups Nouveau Party
Scribe Winery, Broc Cellars, and Martha Stoumen Wines are collaborating to host a natural wine party at St. Joseph’s Art Society in SoMa. It’s all going down on Saturday, November 20th, from 6-9pm. Tickets for the event are $60 and are available here.
Day of Giving at Gott’s
On Wednesday, November 17th, all Bay Area Gott’s locations will donate 20% of their sales to various local education foundations as part of their Day of Giving initiative. Consider the fundraiser a win-win situation: you’ll contribute toward a good cause, and have an excuse to grab an excellent burger, fries, and soft serve.
Yappy Hour at Jaranita
The new Peruvian restaurant in the Marina is now offering “Yappy Hour” on Tuesdays (4-6pm), complete with cocktails, snacks, and dog treats. During this week’s edition (November 16th), Muttville SF will be bringing a few of their rescues for a hang on the patio. Even if you don’t have your own dog, you can still swing by to play with theirs. Plus, $1 from every cocktail will be donated to the rescue center.
Complimentary Dinner for Medical Workers at Empress by Boon
Empress by Boon, a great new upscale Cantonese restaurant in Chinatown, recently announced that medical workers get a free prix-fixe meal for two at their bar or lounge, Monday through Saturday. All you need is a medical ID. Email firstname.lastname@example.org to make a reservation.
Thriller Social Club
A new opening to keep on your radar is Thriller Social Club, a two-story restaurant/bar/gaming space in SoMa. Try out a few rounds of Skee-ball or the most expensive golf simulator in the world while getting into a smashburger and a pint of beer.
Get Some Noodle Soup
Holiday decorations are taking over our local CVS, which can only mean one thing: it’s noodle soup season. And lucky for you, we have a list of some of our favorite spots to get some. So whether you’re looking for a big bowl of steaming hot chicken pho or bright red spicy kalbitang, this guide has you covered.
