In no particular order, here are some things we’re excited about eating right now in the Bay Area. Get them on your hit list, and if you happen to a) be at one of these places and b) feel inclined to take a picture, make sure to tag #EEEEEATS so that we see it. It’s imperative that all of your friends know exactly what you’re eating. Always.
What to Eat: The Rebel Within • The rebel is an egg. A soft-cooked farm egg. And it is not interested in playing by your rules.
What to Eat: Lobster Ragout & Gateau Marjolaise • Monsieur Benjamin is home to a whole bunch of things you’re going to want to get your mouth on, and their lobster pasta and cake with layers of hazelnut and praline are some of them.
What to Eat: The Best Damn Cheeseburger • We’re not breaking any news here, but the cheeseburger at 4505 really is one of the best in The Bay.
What to Eat: Toast Cup • Bacon + egg + toast = cup = hell yeah you want that.
What to Eat: A Ridiculous Crepe/Ice Cream Creation • New? Nah. Awesome? Yes, especially if you’re into edible monsters. Hit up Japantown and stop taking yourself so damn seriously.
What to Eat: The Crispy Chicken Adobo • This little East Bay Filipino spot doesn’t get enough love, but these noodles are gonna love you anyway.
What to Eat: A Maple Bacon Donut • This Outer Sunset donut shop is only a few weeks old, but it’s already awesome.
What to Eat: Dutch Pancake • The Dutch apparently had the whole breakfast thing figured out pretty early on.
What to Eat: Expensive Toast • It’s kind of worth the $4. Really.
What to Eat: Pastrami on Rye • Good enough to make a transplanted New Yorker feel at home, without all the sidewalk pee smell.
What to Eat: Greek Frozen Yogurt • We love to hit up Souvla for their frozen Greek yogurt, especially when the lines at Smitten are too long. So…pretty much always.
What to Eat: Scrambled Eggs • So simple, so good. Eat breakfast here. Often.
