Mayor London Breed will give SF outdoor dining updates at a 1:15pm press conference on Monday.
Mayor London Breed will give updates on SF outdoor dining at a press conference scheduled at 1:15pm on Monday. The Golden Gate Restaurant Association, a local business group, expects the city to reopen outdoor dining as early as this week, the SF Chroniclereports.
The news comes as Gavin Newsom is expected to lift the regional stay-at-home order in response to improving COVID-19 numbers. All California regions will revert back to the color-coded county-by-county tier system. So what does this mean for reopening plans across the state? Businesses like restaurants will be able to reopen for outdoor dining, but individual counties will, of course, be able to enforce stricter rules.

The city, along with several other Bay Area counties, will close patios and parklets - and limit gatherings - on Dec. 6th.
The news comes after Governor Gavin Newsom officially lifted California’s regional stay-at-home order on Monday.
