Flagship took over the Dave’s Grill space, and transformed an old school-looking spot into something that looks like the office of an e-commerce wallpaper startup. In other words, everything’s white and bright and the walls are covered with palm frond wallpaper. The menu is seafood-heavy, with some Asian ingredients added in here and there, and there’s a serious cocktail menu as well. For $90, you can do “table service” martinis, negronis, or manhattans. That’ll definitely end well.
A new addition to the Montauk scene, Flagship gives the old Dave’s Grill space a much-needed modern upgrade. Equal parts seafood restaurant and cocktail bar, Flagship is a happy medium between old and new-school Montauk. It’s a nice story too: the place is owned by a local father (chef) and son (bar manager) - they’re the same crew behind Infatuation favorite Bay Kitchen Bar in East Hampton.
