One of my favorite pastimes is aspirationally watching Architectural Digest’s Open Tour videos, where the AD team interviews celebrities on their home design and decor. However, during a recent YouTube rabbit hole, I was appalled to discover that one of my childhood faves, Hillary Duff, doesn’t use coasters with her drinks, and, as a result, has tons of water rings and damage on her otherwise gorgeous sideboard.
Coasters are great, if not essential. They protect your furniture from condensation marks, heat damage, and scuffs - even if the furniture in question is an IKEA coffee table rather than an intricate wooden piece that likely costs more than my entire rent check.
