The Hadley, located on the bottom floor of an old apartment building right off 676, looks like Don Draper’s office but smells like a retirement home. The menu has things like steak, potatoes, and “flatbreads” that we’re not convinced aren’t frozen pizzas. Aside from a drink at the bar or a Happy Hour snack, there’s really no reason for you to come here.
City Tap House in University City is a bar and pizza place that’s great for groups that know the perfect way to catch up is with a cheesy slice of margherita and some cocktails.
If you’re looking for some good Neapolitan-style pizza in a casual space, go to Pizzeria Vetri.
Alpen Rose is a fantastic steakhouse in Midtown Village. It looks like it was decorated by a librarian who opened a speakeasy.
Barclay Prime is the best steakhouse in the city. As long as you’re prepared to spend a lot, go for excellent cocktails, steaks, and amazing shareable sides.
