FoodChasers' Kitchen
The menu of FoodChasers' Kitchen in Elkins Park is long and full of comfort dishes like french toast topped with fried honey shrimp and sausage and gravy. But the one dish that sets them apart is their plate of buttery and creamy grits, which has so many topping options that they take up half of the morning menu. The best one is the salmon and shrimp, which gets topped with pools of creamy cheese sauce and a fillet and jumbo shrimp. Each spoonful sends a satisfying and comforting surge through your body, like the one you get when you feel the first brush of AC on a hot day. Plus, it’s a lot easier to grab a seat in the first-come, first-served dining room on weekdays rather than weekends when it gets slammed.
