Encima is a mezcal bar above Franklin Mortgage and Investment Co., and it has over 70 different types of mezcal that are served in small jicara bowls instead of shot glasses. Most of the cocktails are mezcal based as well, but you’ll also find beer, wine, and two low-proof drinks - tejuino made from masa and tepache made from pineapple peels. You’ll probably spend most of your time in this small, dark space drinking, but they also have some Mexican street food on the menu - with things like tacos, elote, and guacamole with fried pork rinds.
