Darling Jack’s Tavern
Darling Jack’s is the newest restaurant from the team behind Barbuzzo and Little Nonna’s. Like the others, it's a highly stylized, laidback Midtown Village restaurant. Unlike its brethren, we have no idea what’s going on with the menu. The highlight is the tavern-style pizza with crispy burnt edges and a sweet tomato sauce. But it also serves things like crispy potato with caviar, pappardelle with rabbit sausage, and gochujang-glazed lamb ribs—all of which are serviceable, but don’t work in a meal anchored by pizza. It has a great atmosphere and fine enough food, so if you’re in the area with a group, it can work on short notice.
