It’s Pride Month in Philly, which means it’s time for drag brunches on rooftops, rainbow pastries and bagels, and a bunch of bar specials with undeniably colorful drinks. Since Philly goes all out for Pride, there are so many deals and events that it be might hard to prioritize the ones you want to check out. So we put together this guide for you to know what places to support and frequent this time of the year—and truly all year round.

Pride Month Flight at Jet Wine Bar

June 1-30th

Head to Jet Wine Bar this month to sit under some trees in their Jet Wine Garden and sip on their Pride Month Flight ($30). The wines’ colors represent every color of the rainbow flag, and they’re all easy to pair with some mezze platters, blackened shrimp tacos, and other things on the menu. Five dollars from the flights will go to the William Way LGBT Community Center.

 #LoveIsLove Beer at Evil Genius Beer Company

June 1-30th

Stop by Evil Genius Beer Company this June and try their Strawberry Blonde Ale (6% ABV) called #LoveIsLove. A portion of all sales will be donated to The Trevor Project, a national organization that provides crisis intervention and suicide prevention services to LGBTQIA+ youth. The new 12-ounce can is available at the Fishtown Lab and the Evil Genius Beer Garden.

Rainbow Bagel at Bagels & Co. 

June 1-30th

While a bagel any day is a good option, this month you can get one and support a good cause. When you head to Fishtown’s Bagels & Co., a dollar from every colorful rainbow bagel sold in June to William Way LGBT Community Center. They also have a whole list of cream cheeses to choose from, like sundried tomato tofu, pumpkin, and black garlic.

Cocktails for a Cause at Various Locations 

June 1-30th

All month there will be a Cocktails for a Cause fundraiser at Liberty Point, The Garden at Cherry Street Pier, The Dolphin, Morgan's Pier, Craft Hall, Parks on Tap, Rosy's Taco Bar, Harper's Garden, Concourse Dance Bar, and Juno. Each spot has a drink that matches the color of the LGBTQ rainbow flag. Plus, one dollar from each rainbow drink will provide donations for four charities, including William Way LGBT Community Center, Attic Youth Center, Philly Asian Queer, and Galaei

The Events

June 15 - July 24

The Best Things To Do & Eat During Philly Pride Month feature image

Chef Dane DeMarco at Volvér 

Chef Dane DeMarco will be the chef in residency at Volvér on Kimmel Cultural Campus from June 15th to July 24th. You can expect a menu full of things like oxtail terrine, crab corn dog galette, cannoli manicotti, corner fried shrimp, and vanilla krimpet. The residency funds will go to support their upcoming restaurant, Hanks Sandwich Co.

June 18th

Pride Day at Parks On Tap

Parks on Tap, the roaming beer garden, will be hosting Pride Day from 12-6pm on June 18th. There will be live music, cocktails, food like pulled pork sandwiches, spicy bean hummus, smoked chicken salad, and more benefiting LGBTQ+ non-profit organizations William Way LGBT Community Center, Philly Asian Queer, The Attic Youth Center, and Galaei. 

June 21st

Charity Dinner Series with Hardena’s Chef Diana Widjojo at Stina BYO

Stina will have Chef Diana Widjojo from Hardena come and cook at the restaurant. There will be a multi-course prix-fixe menu full of things like fried enoki mushroom, grilled tofu, radish, herbed peanut dressing, and rendang kambing. The tickets are $75, and twenty percent of the evening's sales will go to the Attic Youth Center. 

June 26th

Drag Brunch at Bok Bar

One of the city’s best rooftops will be hosting a drag brunch with performances by Brittany Lynn and her Drag Mafia. Kalaya will also be there throughout the month serving up things like som tum, crab rangoon cannoli, mango rice pudding, and ghai satay.
