Zanmi Soho

The original Zanmi in Prospect Lefferts Gardens is one of our favorite places to eat Haitian food in NYC, and now there’s a second location on the far western edge of Soho. It’s on a quiet block surrounded by offices and high-end condos, and it feels like one of the better-kept secrets of the neighborhood. You can walk into the bright space—filled with colorful murals and neon lights—and get a table any night of the week. Plan a group meal here the next time you want to drink some Haitian rum and eat crispy griot topped with pikliz.

At first glance, the food at The Dutch in Soho looks about as straightforward as it can get. But look more carefully, and you'll find some unexpected and welcome twists.
