Yatenga is a French restaurant in Harlem where you can have a pleasant experience for a pleasantly small amount of money. The menu has dishes like grilled salmon with ratatouille, beet tartare, and a burger. As long as you don’t mind sitting beneath some decorative tools on the walls that may or may not have been present during the Industrial Revolution, this is a great place to come with a group or just by yourself with your laptop. When it’s nice outside, Yatenga sets up a few communal tables where you can hang out in the sun. Wherever you sit, order a $10 plate of excellent macaroni and cheese - which they make with bechamel sauce, parmesan, and parsley. It’s also worth pointing out that they do a daily Happy Hour until 8pm that involves $5 frozen margaritas and pina coladas, as well as $4 house wine and draft beer.
