White Oak Tavern is a big American restaurant in Greenwich Village that’s a good utility spot to keep in mind when you’re around NYU. It works for a burger and beer while watching sports on TV, or for lunch or dinner with a big group. They also have an extensive cocktail menu and Happy Hour till 7pm on weekdays.
