Vandal is a big restaurant on the Lower East Side, and it’s from the same people behind Lavo and Tao. Like those places, this is a spot where you can eat pricey, mediocre food while you enjoy a party atmosphere and reflect upon the fact that you probably don’t want to be here. The menu is all over the place, with things like tortilla soup dumplings, shawarma salad, and pizza - and, while the dumplings taste like they were recently defrosted, the pepperoni pizza is surprisingly not bad. But the rest of it is much worse. So unless you have a corporate card and you’re just looking for a place to drink your dinner, you shouldn’t come here.

Kind Regards is a bi-level LES bar where you can actually sit and have a conversation. Unless it’s the weekend - in which case it will be crowded.
Beverly’s is a cool dive bar on the Lower East Side with neon pink lights and artsy people drinking $3 PBRs.

Frankel’s is a Jewish deli in the same vein as Russ & Daughters, but on its own level entirely.
The Park Slope location of Luke’s Lobster has a solid beer selection and few picnic benches outside.
Death & Co
Death & Co. feels like it was built just for us. The drink list is ridiculous…it’s nearly impossible to settle on something because each beverage is intriguing and awesome. And thankfully the food doesn’t suck either.

It is no understatement to say that Catch is the most over-the-top, ridiculous dining operation the Meatpacking District has ever seen. Thankfully though, the service is fantastic, and the food is pretty great as well, despite the absurdity of it all.
Beauty & Essex
Beauty & Essex is like a ground level Boom Boom Room with food and slightly poorer people. But you want to know the worst part about it all? The food is actually pretty good.
The Blind Barber
The Blind Barber is an East Village barbershop by day and a speakeasy bar at night.
