The Rookery is a nice, big bar in Bushwick that serves food all day. We wouldn’t say it’s a “hot spot,” but it isn’t lame either. It’s mostly just a good place to sit down with a big group of people and have a few drinks. Their kitchen is open late too, so feel free to end your night here with a burger.

Tom’s is a Brooklyn classic for breakfast and lunch since 1936. You know what’s kept them in business for so long? Free stuff. That, and really good sausage.
Morgan’s BBQ is some of the best barbecue you can get without having to go down to Red Hook for Hometown.
Vinegar Hill House
One of our favorite restaurants in Brooklyn, especially in the summer when their back garden is in full swing. Bring some bug spray, eat a pork chop.

Clyde Frazier's Wine and Dine
In truth, without a basketball court and Walt Clyde Frazier's involvement, we wouldn’t be talking about the Wine and Dine. The space is massive, the layout is clunky, but the food is pretty good. If you're a hoops fan, it's a must visit.
Danny Meyer’s Chelsea bar, Porchlight, is all about the details. Cocktails and details.
Wilfie & Nell
Wilfie & Nell is, first and foremost, a place you come to drink, rather than a place you come to eat. Consider it an added bonus that the bar food you'll likely be eating while standing near a tiny ledge is pretty good.

Lot 45 is a big warehouse bar in Bushwick where people come to dance when they don’t want to schlep to Manhattan for a rowdy DJ situation.
