A night in Sugar Hill should always involve shrimp beignets and jazz, and the Porch is a particularly chill place to experience both. This BBQ restaurant is run by musicians and doubles as a music venue where you can see the city’s best jazz artists in a super casual dining room. You can pop-in for a glass of wine and some snacks on a weeknight, but they do have some pretty good BBQ if you want a full dinner. Their best items are the fatty smoked brisket and a beautifully seasoned hickory smoked maple salmon served with creme fraiche and crackers. Live music happens Wednesday through Sunday with no cover charge.
