The rooftop bar on top of the new hotel 50 Bowery, The Crown has a lot going for it. Mainly, it’s a hotel rooftop bar that isn’t cheesy. It’s definitely not particularly cool either, but we’ll take straightforward and simple over trying-too-hard-to-be-hip any day. Another plus: at least at the time of this writing, no one seems to know about this place yet. In other words, you and and all your friends can take over and have 360 views of Manhattan almost all to yourself.

Good Story Rooftop Lounge
Good Story is the rooftop bar at the Arlo Soho hotel, and, as far as rooftop bars go, it’s a pretty pleasant place to hang with a group downtown.
Mr. Purple is the restaurant/bar on top of Hotel Indigo on the Lower East Side. It’s a good place to grab a drink with a group, but it does get busy.
