You probably don’t want to come to the beer garden at the Standard High Line at night, when it’s packed with people who are holding off on going to Le Bain or The Gansevoort Rooftop until there’s a line they can skip. But during the day, this is a fun spot to hang out with a big group. The massive space has communal picnic tables, where you can drink steins of beer and eat giant pretzels. There’s also a room in the back with foosball and ping-pong.

The Jeffrey is an Upper East Side East beer garden and espresso bar, with great bar snacks and excellent cocktails. Be happy you’ve heard of it.

DBA is a bar in the East Village that’s good for people who like whiskey and beer and drinking those things outside.
