Tawa Roti is a little shop in Jackson Heights that’s great for a quick lunch. There are only a few tables inside, but they’re very sunny and overlook the open kitchen, which is where the magic happens. Everything here is made to order, and you can taste the difference it makes. Our go-to order here is sel roti, a vegetable thali, and an order of steamed momos. The thali comes with tangy yogurt and lots of pickled things, and the momos are some of the best in the city.

At this Nepalese restaurant in Sunnyside, a whole section of the menu is dedicated to goat's head dishes.
