Szechwan Absolute

To get to Szechwan Absolute, you’ll need to walk up a couple flights of stairs (or take an elevator) to the second floor of Flushing’s One Fulton Square. They have a bright pink dining room, a stocked bar, and a bunch of outdoor seating in front of the restaurant. No matter if you dine in or order for takeout, we suggest getting the mapo tofu, which has a nice buzz of mala spice and plenty of salt, garlic, and ground pork to cut the heat. We also love the Chongqing-style chicken. Despite being fried twice and covered in a bath of dry peppers, the pieces stay juicy on the inside.
